Spring Break 2010

I visited my grandparents in El Paso, TX, over Spring Break. It’s always so beautiful out there, but unfortunately, we couldn’t go outside much for the first few days because of some massive dust storms –I could have sworn that it smelled like dust inside of the house, it was crazy. It was great to visit them though. My grandma taught me how to play Spinners – a Domino game – which was a lot of fun.

I got this bracelet at the El Paso airport (with my Easter money; thanks Gma D!). **It was made in Guatemala!

The only downside to the trip was not getting much of my school work done. But that’s typical of most vacations, and I’m glad that I got time to just hang out and rest.

I came home last night and this morning – okay, this afternoon; I slept in – I woke up and went outside on my back porch. It smells like summer outside! It’s amazing how fast months go by, isn’t it? I feel like I wrote my post on the Snowpocalypse only a few days ago. And now it smells like summer.

It’s beautiful outside. Since I was in El Paso I didn’t get a chance to see the Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C., there are, however, some very beautiful cherry trees in my backyard. Here are some pictures.
